with sympathy

We are saddened to learn of the passing of a valued past-President and Trustee of Glenageary LTC, Clive Scott, who passed away on 29 December after a lengthy hospital stay.  Clive had been a member of GLTC since 1958 until his retirement as a trustee in 2021.  During that time, he was an active committee member, enjoyed his tennis and was the Club President during our centenary year.  More recently, Clive served as a trustee of GLTC for over 20 years, retiring only last year in 2021, to pass the mantle to current trustee, Frank Mulrennan.

Clive grew up around the corner in Silchester Park where his father took great pride in the park flower beds and gardens, still enjoyed by so many Glenageary families today.  GLTC members who knew Clive will remember him with fondness as a gentleman and a very kind man who contributed much to the Club over a long and happy association.

The committee and members of GLTC extend their condolences to Clive’s family.  A Service of Thanksgiving for Clive was held in Dun Laoghaire Methodist Church on 2 January 2023 followed by a private burial.
