We’re delighted to announce that Glenageary Lawn Tennis Club’s new Spinfire Pro 2 Ball Machine is now available to book and use!
Whether you’re looking to improve your groundstrokes, practice your serve returns, or simply enjoy a great hitting session, the ball machine is a fantastic way to develop your game at your own pace.
How to Book
The ball machine is booked through Club Manager court bookings (www.smartclubcloud.com)
1. Book Court 9
2. Click on Show Guest Option.
3. Select Ball Machine.
A €5 fee will automatically be charged to your Smart Club Lights Purse -if you don’t have enough credit you will be asked to top up. If you cancel your booking at least one hour before your scheduled time, your payment will be refunded automatically.
4. Add other opponents if required and complete booking.
You should see that the €5 cost has been registered.
Before Your First Session
The guide was sent to you all via the whatsapp groups and is in the News Section of www.smartclubcloud.com.
The guide explains:
- How to connect using the Spinfire Pro App via Bluetooth.
- Safe operation of the machine.
- Recommended settings to get started.
- Care of the machine before and after use.
- Booking conditions and terms of use.
- How to download the app to operate the ball machine remotely from your phone.
The guide is displayed in the clubhouse and will also be available on Court 9.
A Few Important Reminders
- The ball machine is for Court 9 only during the designated off-peak booking times.
- Users must be 18 years or older. Strictly no U 18’s , even if accompanied by a parent
- Do not use the machine in the rain or on wet courts. The courts must be dry.
- Do not use wet tennis balls.
- Only unpressurised balls (eg. Wilson Triniti) can be used in the machine and the balls are stored alongside the machine for your use.
- Please return the battery for charging to outside the office in the clubhouse and return the machine to its original location after use. Do not leave balls in the hopper when storing it. There will be a basket provided to hold the balls.
- Do not let the battery get wet.
Fair Usage
To give as many members as possible the opportunity to enjoy the ball machine, a fair usage policy will apply. We recommend using the machine with one other member, making it a fun and effective way to practise together.
Terms of Use
By booking and using the GLTC ball machine, you acknowledge that you do so at your own risk. Users are responsible for ensuring they know how to operate the machine safely and agree to follow these instructions. Do not use the machine if it appears damaged or unsafe.
To the fullest extent permitted by Irish law, GLTC, its committee members, volunteers and employees accept no liability for any injury, loss or damage arising from the use of the ball machine, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
By making a booking, you confirm that you have read the user instructions and that you have read, understood and accepted these terms and that any GLTC member using the machine with you has also done so.
