Match Rules
Due to reduced court capacity in the first week and possibly beyond, the Tournament Committee has made the decision to shorten matches in ALL events as follows:
- First point after deuce decides the game
- Receiver decides whether to receive in the deuce court or advantage court
- In mixed doubles, female server serves to female and male server serves to male
- Standard tie-break at 6-6 games in 1st and 2nd sets – i.e. first to 7 points leading by 2 points
- 3rd set is a championship tie-break – i.e. first to 10 points leading by 2 points
- In tie-break, change ends every 6 points
This format may be reviewed in the second week for championship level matches.
